I’m Ehsan Majd: The Story Behind Barista in Pajamas
At home with the coffee: Ehsan Majd, the creator behind Barista in Pajamas.
If you know me through a coffee video, you’ve seen one part of a story that started long before I shared it online.
I’m Ehsan Majd, the creator behind Barista in Pajamas. My coffee journey began when I was 15. Since then, coffee has stayed with me through a career in photography, digital marketing, and work across different countries and industries. Today, I’m bringing those experiences together to build my own community and businesses.
A career behind the camera
For more than 20 years, my professional work has involved creating images, telling stories, and helping businesses communicate. I worked as a photographer in the film industry, ran a wedding photography studio, and had a commercial photography studio. Each setting gave me a different subject to understand and a different reason to pick up a camera.
In film, a photograph belongs to a larger story. In wedding photography, it has a deeply personal meaning for the people in it. In commercial work, it helps a business explain what it offers and how it wants to be understood. Those are different responsibilities, and they have all been part of my experience.
Some of my commercial work brought me into restaurants and cafés, where I worked on photography, brand evaluation, and branding. That connected my creative career with a world I already cared about. Food and coffee businesses have so much to communicate: the things they make, the atmosphere they create, and the people behind them.
Where photography meets technology
My education reflects that mix of interests. I have a bachelor’s degree in Photography and a master’s degree in IT. Visual work and technology have both been part of my background for years. Now, they are coming together in the things I’m building for myself and the people who follow my work.
Sharing what I make at home
Barista in Pajamas is where my coffee experience becomes something I can share. I create recipes, explain techniques, and cover equipment with home brewing in mind. I want someone watching a video or reading a post to have something useful to try in their own kitchen.
Sometimes that means starting with a familiar drink, such as an iced vanilla latte. Sometimes it means trying a combination like lemon, raspberry, sparkling water, and espresso. My Dirty Earl Latte brings tea-infused milk into an espresso drink. Those recipes give me different ways to explore flavour and give you different starting points for your own experiments.
Lemon Raspberry Iced Coffee: one of the recipes I share through Barista in Pajamas.
I also make room for the practical details. A preparation habit, a grinder adjustment, or the way a machine fits into a daily routine can be worth explaining carefully. My experience in photography and digital marketing helps me think about how to communicate that information so it is easy to follow.
Two projects, shaped by one career
That work has now grown into two projects of my own.
Baristuno carries my interest in coffee into a tool people can use while they brew. It gives home baristas a place to record cups, keep recipes, and learn from what they have tried. Sharing a recipe starts a conversation; keeping track of your own results helps you continue it.
VeroKit comes from another part of my experience: creative work as a business. I founded and built it to support the work around creator partnerships, from presenting a creator’s profile to organising relationships, projects, and results. Having worked in photography, marketing, and branding, I care about the business that supports the finished piece of content.
These projects give my experience somewhere to go. Coffee, cameras, technology, and marketing have each occupied a different part of my life. Through Barista in Pajamas, Baristuno, and VeroKit, I’m building connections between them.
What I’m building next
My focus now is on developing those businesses and growing a community around what I make and share. I want the experience to be useful whether you arrive looking for a new coffee recipe, a clearer explanation, or a tool that helps you with your own work.
I’m Ehsan Majd. You may know me as Barista in Pajamas. Behind both names is someone who has spent years creating for other people and is now putting that experience into a community and businesses of his own.
If you’re here for the coffee, choose a recipe and make it your own. That is a good place for our stories to meet.
